Xerial Project
The goal of the Xerial Project is to develop a freely available native XML database system implemented in both of C++ and Java. The generated products from the Xerial project are licensed under the Apache License Ver 2.0. In order to use or distribute our softwares, please read carefully the detail description of the Apache License.
The pronunciation of 'Xerial' is [ex-erial], not [zerial]. The name comes after XML and serializable (it is a scientific term of the database field that denotes the safe execution of queries and updates). As the name implies, the final target of the Xerial project is to implement an XML DBMS with strong support of concurrent transaction processing.
